What you'll do

As Vice President, you will assume a multifaceted role that combines strategic client engagement with rigorous portfolio oversight. Your day to day activities will involve originating new business by connecting with potential clients in project finance, acquisition finance, and real estate sectors. You will nurture these relationships from initial contact through onboarding while also managing the ongoing needs of established clients. By applying your expertise in financial modelling and credit structuring, you will prepare detailed recommendations that inform lending decisions. Your responsibilities extend to ensuring all accounts remain compliant through regular reviews and diligent record keeping. You will participate in meetings with various stakeholders-both internal and external-to drive business development initiatives forward. Additionally, you will generate insightful reports for senior management while collaborating closely with your team to achieve collective success. This role requires you to be proactive in identifying opportunities for growth within the portfolio while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client care.

  • Originate and onboard new clients across project finance, acquisition finance, and real estate lending by building trusted relationships with prospective customers.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with existing clients to ensure their needs are met while identifying opportunities for further engagement and portfolio growth.
  • Structure credit proposals using advanced financial modelling techniques to provide well founded recommendations that align with risk appetite and business objectives.
  • Oversee account administration tasks such as periodic credit reviews and KYC/AML checks to maintain up to date risk profiles and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Attend meetings with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of new business opportunities as well as effective ongoing account management.
  • Maintain accurate account files in both digital and physical formats to support transparency, audit readiness, and efficient information retrieval.
  • Prepare comprehensive internal reports for Head Office, Loans Operations, and Compliance teams to keep all relevant parties informed of portfolio performance and risk status.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to share insights, resolve issues promptly, and foster a positive team environment focused on shared goals.
  • Support the Head of Department by providing timely updates on client activity, market trends, and potential risks or opportunities within the portfolio.
What you bring

To excel as Vice President, you will bring an impressive background rooted in banking-particularly within project finance or corporate banking settings-where your reliability has been consistently evident.   • A minimum of eight years' experience within banking environments such as project finance or property finance, where you have demonstrated consistent dependability.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business or a related discipline which underpin your technical proficiency in complex financial matters.
  • Proven ability to structure credit proposals using sophisticated financial modelling tools that enable sound decision making aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of transaction structuring processes including documentation preparation that ensures accuracy and compliance at every stage.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting thorough KYC/AML reviews as part of robust risk management practices within regulated environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to connect meaningfully with clients as well as collaborate effectively within cross functional teams.
  • Outstanding written communication abilities allowing you to prepare clear reports, recommendations, and correspondence for diverse audiences.
  • A track record of working cooperatively within teams where knowledge sharing is encouraged for mutual benefit.
  • Strong organisational skills reflected in your meticulous approach to account administration tasks such as file maintenance (both soft copy and hard copy).
