Leading Melbourne organisation hiring a Payroll Officer to join their team. This high-volume role involves managing complex payrolls across multiple awards and agreements. Salary: AUD 70,000 - 85,000 per year + super. Location: Melbourne CBD. Workplace: Hybrid. Contract Type: Permanent.

What you'll do- Accurately process payroll for a large number of employees across various employment agreements and awards, ensuring on-time and correct payments.
- Maintain up-to-date records of employee information, including leave balances, superannuation, tax declarations, and other data.
- Collaborate with HR and finance to resolve payroll queries promptly and accurately.
- Interpret multiple awards and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Prepare regular payroll reports for management review and investigate any anomalies.
- Respond professionally to employee enquiries regarding payslips, deductions, entitlements, or other payroll matters.
- Assist with end-of-year processes such as reconciliations, payment summaries, and statutory reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes and improve accuracy.
- Support the implementation of new systems or upgrades and participate in user testing as required.
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing within organisations with multiple awards or agreements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll administration.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll data.
- Willingness to participate in training and stay updated on legislation or system changes.
