Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner opening - Spring Valley, NYA Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Spring Valley, NY is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its dynamic Behavioral Health team. This is a great opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing accessible, comprehensive care to underserved populations in Rockland and Sullivan Counties.As a Psychiatric NP, you ll manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders and collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists and other medical professionals in a community-based setting with no billing or overhead responsibilityKey Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage diagnosis and treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications based on best clinical practices
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in the EMR
• Provide consultation and support to other departments as needed
• Ensure timely referrals and follow-up for continuity of care
Requirements
• BSN, MSN preferred; completion of an approved psychiatric NP program
• Active RN license and NP certification in New York State
• Active NY DEA Registration
• Minimum 3 years RN experience + 1 year as psychiatric NP
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices, medication management, and care coordination
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
