Family Medicine Physician - Obstetrics

Join a leading healthcare provider in Algona, Iowa, with an excellent opportunity for a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician. Our practice offers a supportive environment where you will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, providing comprehensive healthcare services within a 25-bed critical access hospital along with a primary care clinic. You will have access to a variety of specialists and cutting-edge medical technologies, all in a community that values its healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide full spectrum family medicine care, including surgical obstetrics.
• Perform C-sections and manage obstetric patients.
• Participate in call for OB/Hospitalist - 1:9, and call for C-sections - 1:3.
• Collaborate with a team of 8 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers.
• Utilize on-site lab, x-ray, sleep, MRI, CT, and mammography services.
• Engage with available specialists in Cardiology, Urology, GI, ENT, Orthopedics, and more.
• Build strong relationships with patients and the community.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (with plans to become BC within 1 year of employment) or Board Certified in Family Medicine.
• OB Fellowship-trained (to be completed prior to start).
• Able and interested in performing C-sections.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Iowa medical license or IMLC (or willingness to obtain).
• Controlled Substance Registration (CSR/CDS).
• DEA Certification.
