Senior Data Scientist, Ethical AI & Fairness

Audacity is building a dedicated team focused on Ethical AI and Fairness, and we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead our efforts in this critical area. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing methodologies to identify, measure, and mitigate bias in our AI systems. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring our AI products are fair, transparent, and trustworthy.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and legal teams to integrate ethical AI principles throughout the entire AI lifecycle, from data collection and model development to deployment and monitoring. You will also be expected to contribute to the formulation of Audacity's internal guidelines and best practices for responsible AI development. A strong background in statistical analysis, causal inference, and machine learning ethics is essential.

The successful candidate will have practical experience with fairness metrics, debiasing techniques, and interpretability methods for machine learning models. Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries is required. Experience with regulatory compliance related to AI and data privacy would also be a significant asset. You should be passionate about making a positive societal impact through responsible AI.
