eJam

Full-timehybrid

Senior Manager of Finance

Location: Hybrid - Santa Ana, CA Type: Full-Time Salary: $170,000 – $185,000 base, depending on experience About eJam eJam is a bootstrapped consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands — all without ever taking a dollar of outside capital. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between. We're not a startup hoping something works. We're a team that has done it repeatedly — taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small team, no bureaucracy, massive ownership. This is the place where you'll see the entire machine — sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail — all under one roof. If you want to learn how consumer products actually get built and shipped at scale, there is no faster education than this. The Role You will build and run FP&A and treasury for the eJam group, end to end. Not a consolidation of other people's spreadsheets: the whole picture. How each brand's budget gets built with the people who have to hit it, how a month's variance turns into a decision, how much cash every entity has this morning and will have in 13 weeks, and what the lender needs before they ask. You will lead the brand Financial Analysts and the two operations analysts, partner with the Accounting Manager on close, and be the finance voice when the CEO, COO and brand leaders decide what to spend, what to buy and what to cut. Mission: the VP of Finance and brand leadership know where the money is made, where it leaks and whether we can fund the next move, before they have to ask. What You'll Own FP&A Own the annual budget and quarterly reforecast by brand and entity, built with brand leaders and reconciled to the consolidated plan Run the monthly budget vs actual and KPI review, decompose variances into drivers (revenue, gross to net dilution, COGS, media spend, contribution) and write the commentary leadership reads Maintain the brand operating models, Shameless, BugMD and HydroNova, including unit economics, CAC and LTV payback, and media spend scenarios Build and keep current the daily revenue, gross to net and goal pacing reporting, aligning BigQuery dashboards with the financial statements so every team works from one set of numbers Lead and develop the brand Financial Analysts, set their priorities and review their work Treasury and cash Produce the daily cash on hand and available credit view across all bank accounts, cards and advertiser credit lines, and the rolling 13 week cash forecast by entity Manage intercompany funding and the MSA recharges between eJam Inc and the brands, with clean documentation of every movement Own lender and bank relationships, including the Shameless asset based lending facility: borrowing base certificates, covenant and reporting obligations, draws and paydowns Oversee card and payment platform programs (Ramp, bank cards, merchant processors) for limits, fees and working capital impact Lead the quarterly lender and investor financial packages and the finance side of diligence, quality of earnings and capital raises Reporting and systems The close calendar partnership with the Accounting Manager so actuals land on schedule, and the finance systems roadmap across QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Cin7, BigQuery and any planning or A/R platform we adopt A team of three to five analysts: priorities, review, development and the standard that every number they publish traces to its source Recurring reporting, variance commentary and forecast refreshes automated with Claude and documented so they survive a vacation What Success Looks Like 30 days: daily cash and available credit for every entity lands in leadership's inbox each morning, the 13 week forecast is live by entity and you own the lender reporting calendar 90 days: the monthly budget vs actual package by brand closes within five business days of the books, with variance drivers and a recommendation, and the FY2027 budget by brand is approved by the CEO and COO 6 months: the analysts run on one planning model and cadence, forecast accuracy is tracked and improving, no lender deliverable has been missed, and the business runs against a budget it helped build Requirements Required (all four, no exceptions) Budget and forecast: built an annual budget and rolling forecast by brand or business unit with the operators, and ran the monthly budget vs actual that leadership acted on Treasury: ran a 13 week cash forecast and daily cash position across multiple entities or bank accounts, including intercompany funding Lender reporting: owned borrowing base certificates, covenant and reporting deliverables under an ABL, revolver or term facility Brand unit economics: modeled subscription rebill and churn, retail gross to net, or cohort payback for a DTC, ecommerce or CPG brand Also required 7 or more years in FP&A, corporate finance or treasury, including at least 2 years managing analysts, ideally at a CPG, DTC or ecommerce company Advanced Excel: driver based and three statement models another person can follow, plus comfort querying a SQL warehouse (BigQuery preferred) You use AI, primarily Claude, as a working tool every day, you check its output before it goes anywhere, and you will teach the team to do the same Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics or related Nice to have CPA, CMA, CFA or MBA QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Cin7 or Deel Experience with quality of earnings, investor diligence or a capital raise Merchant of record or multi entity MSA structures Benefits Compensation $170,000 to $185,000 base, depending on experience.
