Accenture Construct – Resident Engineer, ANS

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough." You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built. At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably. You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land. Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next. Visit us here to learn more about Accenture Construct As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details. THE WORK: You’ll provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects for upcoming efforts. You’ll determine whether completed work follows project plans and specifications and assist with inspections across structural construction, including bridges, foundations, walls, falsework, shoring, and drainage structures. You’ll coordinate work with contractors, public utility agencies, the project team, Construction Staking, and Material Testing CMCs. You’ll coordinate directly with the general contractor and negotiate change orders. You’ll make or support grade, alignment, quantity, falsework, and shoring calculations. You’ll prepare or assist with contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other required project documents and reports. You’ll coordinate construction-material sampling and testing to monitor compliance with contract specifications. You’ll monitor and track contractor progress, maintain project records, and prepare required daily, weekly, and monthly reports. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED: You must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California. You must have experience on a minimum of 1 construction highway project for or on Caltrans. You must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience conducting roadway and highway construction inspection in major public works projects. You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with both stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials; and the physical characteristics and properties of roadway and bridge construction materials, including concrete and steel. BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: Ability to work independently Ability to perform duties in the construction field office and effectively make decisions concerning construction work in progress and solving field problems Ability to direct the efforts of subordinate inspectors Expertise in toll road projects including tolling systems (e.g., overhead gantries, cameras, in-pavement vehicle detection loops, etc.) WORK LOCATION: Site Specific: Bakersfield and Fresno, CA Every role here has some in-person time — for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list. You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands. AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it. Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name. Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support. Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point. Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026. ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business. The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on. We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing. We believe that no one should be discriminated against because of their differences. All employment decisions shall be made without regard to age, race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status or any other basis as protected by federal, state, or local law.
