Deliveroo

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) - Merchant EMEA

London, England

Our Global Structure Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team. Senior Fullstack Engineer (Go / Kotlin & React) About the Team Merchant EMEA Engineering builds the technology that helps merchants join, grow, and operate successfully across our markets. Our organization brings together the strengths of Wolt and Deliveroo and supports merchants across 37 countries. We work across the merchant journey, including onboarding, business growth and support, analytics and recommendations, menu and order management, integrations, and merchant applications. Our teams sit close to the business. Rather than primarily building foundational platforms, we build products and features on top of our existing platforms to solve real merchant and market needs, including local business requirements, growth opportunities, and operational challenges. 📍This open role is based in our tech hubs in Helsinki or Berlin . Please note: This role requires being based in Berlin/Helsinki on a hybrid basis. We are currently unable to offer fully remote work, visa sponsorship, or relocation support for this opportunity. What You'll Do As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll contribute to products and services used across the merchant experience. You'll: Build and maintain production software across backend services and user-facing applications. Work on areas such as merchant onboarding, analytics, recommendations, menu and order management, integrations, or merchant-facing tools. Develop reliable APIs, data models, services, and user-facing features. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, operations, and other engineers to turn business needs into practical technical solutions. Own features from implementation through production and ongoing maintenance. Contribute to technical design discussions and improve the quality, scalability, observability, and maintainability of our systems. Use AI-assisted development tools effectively as part of your engineering workflow, while critically evaluating their output and taking ownership of the final solution. Be willing to work outside your primary area of expertise when needed to solve the problem end-to-end. How We Work Ownership: Engineers take responsibility for the features and services they work on, from development to production. Collaboration: We work closely across engineering, product, design, data, and operations. Pragmatism: We value simple and maintainable solutions that create business impact without unnecessary complexity. Flexibility: We care more about solving the problem than strict frontend or backend boundaries. Our Tech Stack Our backend services primarily use Go and Kotlin , while our frontend applications use technologies such as TypeScript and React . We also work with technologies including Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, and modern cloud infrastructure. Our Humble Expectations We're looking for engineers who have: An AI-first mindset, with a deep experience in leveraging modern AI tools and solid engineering principles to solve problems end-to-end, independently of any specific technology stack. Proven experience building production software in backend, frontend, or fullstack environments end-to-end and at scale. Strong expertise in at least one area of the stack, with a willingness to contribute outside that area when needed. Experience with a modern backend language such as Go, Kotlin, Java, or similar, and/or modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React. Good understanding of APIs, databases, testing, and software design fundamentals. The ability to work independently on well-scoped problems and collaborate effectively with others. Good communication skills and a pragmatic, collaborative mindset. You do not need to be equally strong in frontend and backend. We welcome different balances of experience. You might be primarily a backend engineer who is comfortable making frontend changes when needed, or a frontend-focused engineer who is happy to work with APIs and backend services. What matters most is that you are comfortable working across boundaries to deliver the right solution. Nice to Have Experience in one or more of the following areas would be a plus: Merchant-facing or internal operational tools. Analytics, recommendations, or decisioning systems. Grocery, retail, restaurants, logistics, or marketplace technology. Integrations with external business systems. Kafka or other streaming technologies. Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Kubernetes, or Docker. Why Join Us? You'll work on products that directly affect how merchants interact with Wolt, Deliveroo and DoorDash across Europe. The scope is broad and close to the business, giving you the opportunity to work on meaningful problems across different parts of the merchant journey while developing your skills across the stack. You can read more about our recruitment process here. here . Celonis

Senior Deployment Engineer

Raleigh, US, North Carolina

Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI. At our core is the Celonis Context Model — which combines process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise that AI can actually understand, turning AI's operational blind spots into operational clarity. World's leading companies trust Celonis and its global ecosystem of partners to make their AI agents, people, systems, and processes work together, achieving transformational outcomes. We believe there's a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by giving AI the context to understand how every business process really works. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet. The Team Celonis Services is the delivery engine of our Celonis Customer Organization, responsible for turning the Celonis platform into measurable, business-critical outcomes for our customers. In the AI era, our role has elevated: as AI agents like our own Apollo take on more of the technical build, our people focus on the work that drives real impact—understanding our customers' business-critical problems, designing the solutions that solve them, and quantifying the value delivered. Our Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects pair deep domain and industry expertise with serious platform mastery and AI-augmented delivery, directing agentic systems while owning the judgment, architecture, and customer relationships that AI cannot replace. We deliver faster and smarter than ever, and we own the outcome: solution go-live, solution adoption, initial value realization support and the long-term success of our customers. The Role As a Senior Deployment Engineer, you are the backbone of Celonis delivery. You lead the hands-on implementation of Celonis solutions for enterprise customers, combining platform expertise with AI-augmented workflows to deliver high-quality outcomes, fast. You use Celonis’s AI deployment tools as your primary instruments - directing agents to build data models, generate analyses, and configure operational solutions, while applying your own judgment to validate outputs, adapt to customer context, and ensure business relevance. This is not a traditional consulting role where you build everything manually. You are an AI-augmented delivery professional: you specify what needs to be built, direct AI agents to execute wherever possible, validate the results, and iterate with the customer. You generate value by understanding the customer’s business, translating their needs into technical specifications and solutions, and ensuring the platform delivers measurable impact. The Work You’ll Do Initiate and Connect Conduct business discovery workshops to translate customers’ strategic objectives into high-impact Celonis use cases Collaborate with the customer’s IT and business stakeholders to define project scope, data requirements, and success criteria Ensure data connectivity and extraction pipelines are properly configured, working with specialist resources if required Build & Value Direct AI deployment agents (Apollo) to build data models, process analyses, KPIs, and dashboards - writing clear specifications and validating agent outputs against business requirements Build and configure Celonis solutions across the platform: Process Intelligence Graph, data transformations, process analysis, operational solutions, and AI-powered insights Identify process inefficiencies and root causes using Celonis technology, always in close collaboration with the customer Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, business relevance, and alignment with customer context - applying domain knowledge where the AI cannot Lead value creation workshops and define measures to improve process inefficiencies Define and build KPIs measuring the customer’s success and quantify business impact Design and build operational solutions to drive value, adoption and improve process conformance Rollout, Adoption, and Handover Enable key customer users to use and extend the solution independently, setting the foundation for long-term adoption Manage project outcomes against timelines, scope, and customer expectations Train and demonstrate to customer users, guiding them on the path to sustained value Document solution design decisions and configurations for future reference and handoff Domain & Industry Depth Develop and maintain deep expertise in one or more process domains (e.g., Supply Chain, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, IT Service Management) or industry verticals Translate domain knowledge into scalable solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices that the broader team can leverage Proactively identify and standardize high-value use cases within your domain, collaborating with Product and Business Apps teams to shape the platform roadmap What Makes This Role Different in the AI Era You work with AI agents as your primary tools - your job is to direct, validate, and refine their output, not to write every line of code or build every analysis manually You need strong specification and context engineering skills - the ability to translate a customer’s ambiguous business need into a precise instruction that an AI agent can execute correctly You are expected to continuously learn and adapt as AI capabilities evolve, experimenting with new approaches and sharing what works with your peers You balance speed with quality - AI accelerates execution, but you own the judgment calls on whether the output is right for this customer You think in sustainable software solutions. While AI agents will generate first results quickly, you need to ensure that the operational solutions you build in Celonis are robust, user friendly, maintainable, and scalable The Qualifications You Need Experience: 5+ years in Management or IT consulting, data/solution consulting, or process improvement consulting within software vendors, consulting firms, or system integrators. 6+ years with demonstrated project leadership. Celonis

Senior Deployment Engineer

New York, US, New York
