About the RoleDEW is looking for a dynamic WHS Project and Wellbeing Officer to lead strategic safety initiatives and champion a positive safety culture across the department. If you're a proactive problem solver with a knack for strategic thinking and a passion for creating a safer, healthier workplace - we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Drive major Work Health & Safety projects from concept to implementation.
- Provide expert advice to DEW divisions and Executive leadership, influencing continuous improvement in workplace wellbeing.
- Shape business systems and processes that foster a safe and supportive work environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the Department through consultation and engagement, facilitating the enhancement of operational practices and service delivery.

Contract: Temporary contract up to 30 June 2027
Desirable Qualifications- An appropriate qualification in Work Health and Safety.
- An appropriate tertiary study in Psychology.
- May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel, occasional overnight absences, and work outside of normal hours.
Remuneration: ASO6 ($98,478 min - $104,165 max) p.a.
