The Senior Scientist in Research (MeS5) provides expert leadership to advance research and clinical trials within EFNLHN. The role focuses on strategic research governance, fostering partnerships, and driving innovative research initiatives that enhance local consumer outcomes and increase the attractiveness of EFNLHN as a place for clinical career advancement.
The role requires a leading professional specialist in research who can operate with professional independence to develop and implement EFNLHN policy direction. The role will be responsible for leading the EFNLHN Research Unit, including determining and executing the research strategies, research priorities, work standards and the allocation of resources within the unit to meet these priorities.
Working with EFNLHN Executive, leaders from other metropolitan and regional LHNs, Universities, and other research organisations, the role will be responsible for the development, management and coordination of programs that are crucial to advance the capability and reputation of EFNLHN as a high quality clinical research environment.
QualificationsBachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.
