About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated and passionate VCE Media and English Teacher to join a Christian-focused school in Taylors Hill, located in Melbourne's West, commencing in Term 1, 2026. This role involves teaching VCE Media and English to senior students in Years 11-12.

This esteemed Christian school caters to approximately 1,300 students from Years 7-12 across two campuses. Key duties:

• Design and deliver engaging English and Media lessons that build advanced language, literacy, and production skills aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
• Expose students to diverse literary and media texts, fostering critical and creative thinking through analysis, discussion, and practical creation.
• Develop students' writing, communication, and media production skills using digital tools, editing software, and creative projects such as films, podcasts, and written pieces.
• Assess student understanding of literary and media concepts through analytical and creative tasks that demonstrate depth and originality.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English and Media learning across the curriculum and stay current with evolving educational and industry trends.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students, including spiritual guidance, counselling, and mentorship as required.
• Incorporate Christian teachings and ethics into classroom discussions and interactions with students.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the school and actively contribute to its Christian ethos.

Skills & Experience:

• Possess relevant qualifications in Education.
• Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration.
• Have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Demonstrate proven experience teaching VCE Media and English.
• Experience in Christian or Catholic school environments is highly desirable.
• Provide contact details for two recent, education-based referees (within the last five years)
