We're looking for a Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term contract, covering a maternity leave period. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership of operational HR functions with strategic business partnering, while playing a key role in shaping the employee experience at Thredbo.
The position supports the People & Culture Manager and team in key functions of recruitment and onboarding, payroll, staff accommodation, workers compensation, employee concerns and initiatives. This role acts as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, promoting a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration.

About the role
- Act as a strategic advisor to leaders on workforce planning, change management, and performance issues.
- Provide practical support and advice on employee relations, coach leaders, and help build a culture of trust and inclusion.
- Lead seasonal workforce planning and recruitment: forecast staffing needs, support hiring managers, and manage onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with HR legislation, safety requirements, and wellbeing practices.
- Promote and deliver Thredbo's People & Culture brand, ELEVATE, and drive improvements to the employee experience.
About You
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Professional, approachable, and highly organised.
- A proactive problem-solver, always eager to tackle challenges head-on.
