Our client is a global energy business. This organisation has a significant portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects in operation and under development in Australia and is pursuing growth opportunities.

About the role

Our client is seeking Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house team. In this diverse role you will provide corporate legal support to the business on a wide range commercial and project related matters, including:

Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts to support the development, commissioning and operations of renewable energy projects.
Assisting with potential asset acquisitions and other transactions.
Reviewing and negotiating general service and supply contracts for the business.
Assisting with property, land access and planning matters.

You will work closely with stakeholders from a wide range of business units and be part of an established and experienced team of lawyers.

About you

You will be a projects, infrastructure or energy and resources lawyer with approximately 6-10+ years' PQE. You will have a solid commercial background and some project-related experience. You will enjoy working autonomously and have a commercial, pragmatic approach.
