Legal Counsel

Our client is a multinational real estate business with a portfolio of high-quality assets across Australia. The business has experienced strong growth in Australia and is continuing to expand through joint ventures and long-term partnerships with global investors.

Reporting to the regional General Manager, you will be part of team which is tightly integrated with the business and works cross-functionally. This is a diverse role with a real estate focus, and you can expect to work across all aspects of the business' assets and operations, including:

• Capital transactions.
• Property development.
• Leasing.
• Joint-ventures, capital partnerships and investment transactions.
• Construction and project delivery.
• Commercial contracts, corporate transactions and project structuring.

You will work as an integrated business partner with support from leading external law firms.

You will be a real estate lawyer with 5-8+ years' experience. Ideally, you will have gained foundational experience in a well-regarded law firm and be operating at Senior Associate (or equivalent) level. Any in-house or secondment experience will be highly valued. For the right candidate, short term promotion to or an immediate Senior Legal Counsel role may be considered.

You will bring experience in property and development transactions including acquisitions and divestments, development matters and leasing, but will have a desire to broaden your experience in a commercial environment.
