Welcome to Hannah St Hotel, Southbank's newest neighbourhood precinct. Designed by Flack Studio, our hotel is an ever evolving framework for experience - a dynamic, open door space that reflects the spirit of Melbourne. With 188 authentically Melbourne guest rooms, Hannah St is a place for the late nights, the sleep ins, the early mornings, the long lunches, the unexpected encounters, and the familiar comforts.
We are seeking a Reservation Manager who embodies our purpose: to create a hotel that is of place - a true coming together of the people and stories that make up this city.
Your Role in our Story:As our Reservations Manager, you are the architect of first impressions. You shape the guest experience before they arrive - with care, clarity, and a deep understanding of what makes a stay memorable. You are a storyteller, a strategist, and an ambassador of our brand promise.
What you'll do:- Expertly apply yield techniques to maximise occupancy, average rate, and room revenue; lead yield meetings and provide detailed forecasts and competitor analysis.
- Maintain accurate rate control across all channels, monitor third party websites, and manage group holdings and release periods to optimise room availability and revenue.
- Produce and analyse reports on yieldable periods, business patterns, market segments, and competitor activity; complete month end reporting and provide rolling forecasts.
- Ensure efficient handling of reservations via calls and emails, accurate data entry, timely confirmations, and proactive room allocation; oversee site inspections and group bookings.
- Drive team engagement and culture, coach and train staff, manage recruitment and performance, and ensure compliance with payroll and award guidelines.
- Partner with hotel management, revenue, sales and marketing to set package rates and strategies; keep leadership informed of issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
