We are currently seeking a dynamic Executive Chef at Destination Pentridge to manage the overall kitchen operations for the site, including the day-to-day operations in the restaurant & bar, conferencing, wedding and events, where you are supported with a strong leadership structure.
You will have a passion for progressive, high-quality food, working closely with local producers and farmers to showcase the best produce Victoria has on offer in conjunction with your senior team. Having excellent supplier relationships is important to you, while you will be driven to constantly redevelop menus, recipes, techniques and systems to remain ahead of the competition.

With proven technical skills and the ability to lead a team, this role will be responsible for planning and organising day-to-day kitchen operations, menu planning and, most of all, delivering a consistently high standard of food service experiences that captures our guests' hearts and minds through their culinary experience.
The suitable candidate will have worked in a hotel and restaurant environment and have had experience with conference, event and wedding catering.
This role is not for the faint-hearted, so a proactive, driven and detailed work ethic is required. But above all, we're looking for a leader to build a great team embraced by a supportive working culture.
