About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Officer to play a lead role in progressing the disposal of surplus land and related asset management activities within the Remote Area Energy Supply (RAES) and Assets & Facilities team.

Key Selection Criteria: Please only address the dot points listed below in your application

  • Demonstrated experience in managing or supporting asset-related projects, with a particular focus on surplus land disposal or asbestos management, including compliance with government policy and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering projects, including procurement, property disposal transactions in collaboration with Renewal SA, managing accurate financial and financial costs for property and accommodation projects, minor accommodation / workstation relocation projects as assigned
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and managing sensitive or confidential matters with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, managing multiple priorities, exercising judgement where procedures are not clearly defined, making recommendations, and identifying solutions to support the leadership team.
  • Highly Desirable: Knowledge, understanding, and/or prior experience applying the Premier and Cabinet Circular PC114.

Qualifications: Desirable: Project Management qualification

Remuneration: ASO4 salary range $76,561 - $80,256 per annum + superannuation. Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Special Conditions:

  • This is a Term Contract of 12 months.
  • Intra-state and interstate travel may be required.
  • Applicants must either hold current First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to undergo training.
  • This position is classified as a designated position, and as such, appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance screening check.
