ESS, part of Compass Group, is a leader in providing hospitality services across Defence, Offshore, and Remote sites in Australia. We're seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to support our mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences to Defence personnel.

In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of food and beverage services, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are always at the forefront. You'll work closely with the Hospitality Manager and the onsite team to maintain high standards across all service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations, including mess halls, and catering functions
  • Lead, train, and motivate the F&B team to deliver high-quality service
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and Defence security standards
  • Monitor and maintain stock, equipment, and inventory levels
  • Support the Hospitality Manager in achieving operational KPIs and client satisfaction
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve service issues efficiently
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in food and beverage supervision, hospitality, or catering operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team, coach staff, and maintain high morale
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in large-volume catering or Defence/remote sites highly regarded
  • RSA Qualified
  • Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
  • Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement (Defence security clearance required)
