The Role:

Location: Salisbury South SA
Duration: 36-month full time Apprenticeship

As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects within the local council area.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Minor road reconstruction and asphalt laying
  • Lay and repair stormwater pipes and drainage pits
  • Operate major plant machinery - excavator, skid steer, roller and 3 tonne crane
  • Operate minor plant equipment - grinders, quick cut saw and vibe plate
  • Setup traffic management for construction activities

About You:

To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will:

  • Be driven and have a positive attitude
  • Enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented environment
  • Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual tasks
  • Have strong verbal communication skills
  • Be willing to learn and take initiative

Role Requirements:

  • Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
  • Previous labouring or industry experience (desirable)
