Based in the Adelaide University Indigenous Portfolio in the Adelaide CBD
Full-time, 5-year fixed term contract, open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples only
- Provide academic leadership in developing the new Indigenous Common Core Courses
Reporting to the Professor, Indigenous Learning and Teaching, the Associate Professor, Indigenous Academic Development will provide academic leadership in developing the new Indigenous Common Core Courses, advancing curriculum indigenisation, and shaping the academic strategy to enhance high-quality teaching, enrich the student experience, and foster meaningful stakeholder engagement at Adelaide University.

Key requirements- A commitment to ongoing learning, demonstrated by a PhD, in a relevant discipline, with advanced foundational discipline-based research and a record of achievement
- Proven leadership in Indigenous curriculum design and delivery
- Experience developing and implementing academic strategy and policy
- Strong record of innovative teaching and flexible delivery methods
- Demonstrated success in student support and engagement
- Track record of research activity and external grant success
- Experience of supervising research students to completion
- Ability to build effective internal and external relationships
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and professional development
