Site Foreman

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of construction processes, including concrete works, earthworks, metal works, carpentry, installations and finishing works.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Ability to prepare quantity measurements
• Practical, responsible and proactive approach to site management

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and organise daily construction activities on site
• Plan and coordinate works in accordance with the project programme
• Coordinate subcontractors, site personnel and suppliers
• Monitor the quality and productivity of works
• Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and required quality standards
• Prepare quantity measurements for material orders and subcontractor works
• Coordinate and monitor the timely availability of materials, tools and equipment
• Issue and communicate work instructions to subcontractors and site personnel
• Monitor construction works, machinery and materials to ensure smooth project execution
• Ensure that subcontractors and site personnel perform their duties efficiently and correctly
• Identify potential site issues and coordinate their timely resolution with engineers and the project team
• Ensure effective communication between site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and engineers
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety requirements
• Prepare regular progress updates and report significant site issues
• Maintain the daily construction site diary, including records of workforce, subcontractors, works performed, deliveries and relevant site events
• Maintain general order, organisation and discipline on the construction site
