Health Care System seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The position includes both the clinic and OR. The new Physician Assistant will be working with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon that has a focus on elbows and shoulder replacement. Previous orthopedic experience is preferred, but will train a recent Physician Assistant graduate with a strong interest in orthopedics! Recent graduates must have completed an orthopedic rotation.

Responsibilities include:
- First assist
- Initial evaluations
- Joint aspiration and injections
- Pre-op and Post-op H&P s
- Reductions of fractures and dislocations
- Write scripts
- Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC s
- Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
- Casting and splinting
- Possibility to run clinics
- Hospital rounds

The location is within the Elgin area around 38 miles to Chicago, Illinois. This city has universities, a local airport, low cost of living and excellent school systems. Salary depends on experience, plus a production bonus plan. There is a full benefits package offered.
