Job Duties: Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on vehicles and shuttle busses. Performs minor/major repair of vehicles and shuttle buses such as starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel/gas engines, etc. Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing vehicle into service bay. Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts, proper fluid levels, general wear and safety items. Troubleshoot problems with vehicles and buses. Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any "open" work orders. Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition. Orders parts, stock parts and maintains inventory with accurate record keeping. Performs all other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. Qualifications: Highly skilled and experienced: Can diagnose and repair complex issues independently. Proficient in all areas: May be proficient in all areas of automotive repair, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair. Leadership potential: May be able to lead and mentor other mechanics. Keeps up with advanced training: Stays current with the latest technologies and repair techniques, Possess a valid Driving License.
