Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Job Title: ACNP / PA-C Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU Location: Philadelphia, PA Start Date: June (2nd week preferred) Employment Type: Locum Tenens Position Overview GHR Healthcare is seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to support a high-acuity Neurocritical Care & Neurosurgery ICU team. This opportunity is driven by recent staffing shortages due to maternity leaves and a resignation, creating an immediate need for skilled ICU providers. Clinical Setting 12-bed Neuro ICU Neuro floor coverage APP-driven service model EMR: Epic Schedule 13-hour shiftsDays: 5:30 AM 6:30 PM Nights: 5:30 PM 6:30 AM Mix of days, nights, and weekends 1 2 weekend shifts per month Self-scheduling model Patient Load ICU: 6 patients per provider Floor (if applicable): up to patients Key Responsibilities Provide critical care management in a Neuro ICU setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams Perform procedures as needed (preferred but not required):Central line placement Arterial line placement Bronchoscopy (team-supported) Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care Qualifications Required: Certified ACNP or PA-C ICU experience (required) Preferred: Trauma and/or Neuro ICU experience Procedural experience (lines, airway support, etc.) Team Environment Always staffed with at least two providers (no solo coverage) Highly collaborative, APP-led model
