You will play an essential role in safely operating the plant and using equipment, tools, and other manufacturing resources to produce quality materials in an aggregate environment. You will help keep operations running smoothly by supporting daily production goals and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace. What you will be doing Safely operate the processing plant to produce quality concrete products Operate industrial equipment including blenders, loaders, haul trucks, skid steers, welders, and hand tools to meet daily production goals Collaborate with team members to complete daily operational priorities and cross-train in additional roles as needed Support a safe and clean workplace by performing housekeeping and maintenance activities Conduct regular plant walk-throughs to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and verify completed repairs Complete required documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and report operational issues to the Foreman Stay current with safety procedures, MSHA regulations, and BURNCO safety policies Perform other related duties as assigned What we would like from you Broad knowledge and hands-on experience operating heavy machinery and equipment Proficiency with power tools, welders, cutting torches, chains, and appropriate safety devices Self-motivated and able to work effectively in small teams with minimal supervision Basic mechanical aptitude and strong math skills Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed Experience in the aggregate industry and welding experience considered an asset Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Location and other key details: This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Jeffco site at 20855 Westgate Road Golden, CO 80403 Position involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessary This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check Travel to various job sites required as needed, less than 10% Regular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow Frequently required to climb, kneel, bend, reach, lift loads up to 30 lbs, carry items up to 20 lbs, push, pull, and use manual dexterity to perform duties effectively Frequently stand, walk, and use fine and gross motor skills, including hand-eye coordination, near and distance vision to perform your tasks safely and accurately Regular exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materials Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, vests, and glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats, with additional PPE for special jobs as required Salary Range: $25.50 per hour and up, depending on experience Why BURNCO?
