About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role The Endpoint team (Client Platform Engineering) manages the devices Anthropic’s people work on, plus the infrastructure underneath them. We treat the fleet as a distributed platform, not a collection of devices, and configuration ships as code through pull requests, CI, staging, and a canary group. Today the fleet is mostly macOS, with a growing mobile footprint. Anthropic also works with vendor and business process outsourcing (BPO) partners whose teams need access to Anthropic systems. Those programs are growing, in more countries and with more vendors. Anthropic-owned Chromebooks issued to vendor staff are becoming the default device for vendor teams. This role exists to make ChromeOS a supported platform with a dedicated owner. You will own ChromeOS end to end, from how devices are bought and enrolled to how they are locked down, monitored, and retired, and help bring Android in as a second platform. The team is deliberately lean and runs with high autonomy. You’ll define what ChromeOS looks like at Anthropic and own the platform decisions that get it there. Responsibilities Own ChromeOS as a platform at Anthropic: device standards, Google Admin console and Chrome Enterprise setup, organizational unit design, and policy Manage ChromeOS policy as code through the Chrome Policy API, GAM, and Terraform, in the team's config-as-code pipeline, so changes are reviewed, tested, and progressively rolled out like the rest of the fleet Build zero touch enrollment through resellers, so a Chromebook arrives enrolled and works the first time in every country our vendor partners work from Work with IT Operations and procurement partners on buying and shipping devices internationally, including regions our current partners don’t reach Design device models for vendor teams (kiosk, managed guest sessions, shared devices, and assigned devices) and pick the right one for each program Lock devices down to what the work needs: copy and paste, downloads, printing, USB, and app and extension controls Own the device lifecycle for vendor fleets, from enrollment to wipe, lock, and retrieval when an engagement ends Feed ChromeOS device data into our fleet telemetry, tracking which devices are checking in, OS version, and drift between expected and actual state Partner with Corporate Security on hardware standards (such as Verified Access attestation and minimum AUE date), device trust signals, and access decisions Work with Security on the contractor access model and on keeping Anthropic data off vendor devices Run data loss controls through Chrome Enterprise Premium Work with Security on the vendor identity model: which accounts vendor staff use and in which tenant Support Android as a second platform, working with the corporate mobile program on Android Enterprise and zero-touch enrollment Write the runbooks IT Operations and vendor partners use to stand up a new program You may be a good fit if you Have owned ChromeOS as a platform for a fleet of thousands of devices Know the Google Admin console and Chrome Enterprise well: OU design, device and user policy, enrollment, and reporting Have automated ChromeOS policy through the Chrome Policy API or GAM Have run kiosk, managed guest, or shared device programs for frontline, contact center, or outsourced teams Have set up zero touch enrollment with resellers and shipped devices across several countries Have worked with Android device management and can hold your own in a mixed fleet Excel at ambiguous problems that touch several teams at once Communicate technical concepts clearly to any audience, including vendor partners View IT Engineering as requiring product engineering rigor Write clear documentation as a natural part of your workflow Strong candidates may also Manage device configuration as code (pull requests, CI, staged rollout) instead of clicking in consoles Have managed ChromeOS alongside macOS or mobile fleets Have used VDI or browser-based access to keep data off the device for outsourced teams Have supported BPO or vendor programs through fast growth into new regions Have built automated, progressive rollout systems with promotion gated on telemetry Have used LLMs to automate operational work, or are excited to make Claude a teammate Technical Skills Python and shell scripting ChromeOS management through the Google Admin console and Chrome Enterprise Google Admin SDK, Chrome Policy API, and GAM for automating policy and reporting Android Enterprise management (working knowledge) Querying live device state at fleet scale GitOps and CI for configuration management Endpoint security fundamentals Deadline to apply: None. Anthropic

IT Systems Engineer, M&A

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's Corporate Systems team runs the core collaboration platforms everyone here works in and builds the tooling and automation behind IT. That responsibility extends to the companies we acquire. Their people, devices, and systems have to come into Anthropic securely. You'll own the IT side of Anthropic's acquisitions: due diligence, integration planning, and integration. Before close, you'll assess a company's IT environment and give the deal team a clear read on risk and effort. You'll define the technical integration plan and its requirements: what moves, where it lands, in what order, what has to be ready on day one, and how each security gap gets closed. After close, you'll carry out that plan and bring the company's people, devices, and systems onto our stack. This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll hold admin, write code, build automation, run the cutovers yourself and bring in other teams when the work calls for their expertise or support. You'll lead this work for IT Engineering and partner with Security, Corporate Development, Legal, People, and Finance at every stage. M&A will be your primary focus and responsibility, but you'll be a full member of the Corporate Systems team; taking part in planning and reviews, using and contributing to the team’s tooling, and contributing to the roadmap. Early on, M&A will be most of your work, including using Claude to automate the repeatable parts of diligence and integration. As that automation matures, and when M&A load is light, you'll contribute to other parts of the team’s roadmap. Responsibilities Lead technical IT due diligence: assess a company's identity, applications, endpoints, and infrastructure, and brief the deal team on risk and effort before close Find the gaps between an acquired environment and Anthropic's security model, rate them, and build the mitigations into the integration plan Define the technical integration plan and its requirements: what moves, where it lands, in what order, and what has to be ready on day one Run the integration: take over administration, migrate people, devices, and data, and retire what's no longer needed, with support from other IT Engineering teams as required. Work with Business Technology, Client Platform, Corporate Network, IT Operations, and Security on their parts of each integration Keep Corporate Development, Legal, People, Finance, and the acquired company's team clear on where IT stands Build a repeatable IT M&A playbook and automate as much of it as possible with Claude When M&A work is light, contribute to core Corporate Systems projects You may be a good fit if you have 8+ years as a hands-on engineer in corporate IT. You have designed and shipped systems, carried out migrations or integrations yourself, and owned at least one area end-to-end, with experience supporting other areas: identity, applications, endpoints, or corporate infrastructure Experience administering enterprise identity and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and an SSO provider, and working code in Python or similar against their SaaS APIs Working knowledge of endpoint management and security concepts, enough to lead diligence on an unfamiliar fleet A proven ability to understand an unfamiliar IT environment quickly and deliver a prioritized view of risk to non-specialists A record of leading technical projects that span several teams and run to a fixed date, while doing much of the engineering yourself Comfort working autonomously, with ambiguity and confidential information Clear communication with executives, legal and corporate development teams, and engineers at acquired companies Strong candidates may also have Prior M&A, carve-out, or company-to-company migration experience Experience across the full stack: endpoints, systems, applications, and infrastructure Hands-on experience managing a device fleet or running an MDM Experience working in or alongside a security team A record of building tooling that replaces manual IT work Using Claude or similar tools as a core part of how you work Representative projects Assess an acquired company's IT environment that nobody here has seen and produce a prioritized integration plan within days Design a way to size integration effort and risk for a company of any shape or size Automate bringing acquired people and devices onto Anthropic's identity and device management Write the IT risk memo for a live deal and present it to Corporate Development and Security leadership Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be received on a rolling basis. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. IT Systems Engineer, Client Platform Engineer, macOS

About the role The Endpoint team (Client Platform Engineering) treats Anthropic's device fleet as a platform we build and run. We run our own MDM as a production service and manage every piece of device configuration as code. Policies, configuration profiles, queries, remediation scripts, and software all ship through pull requests, CI, a staging environment, and a canary group before they reach the fleet. The fleet is mostly macOS, plus a small number of Linux machines and a growing mobile footprint. You'll own that platform end to end: the infrastructure underneath the MDM, the configuration on top of it, the patching and software pipelines that keep thousands of devices patched and secure, and the telemetry that tells us what is actually true on every device. You'll also build automation that cuts down on manual operational work. You'll work with Security teams on hardening, compliance controls, and detection and response, and with developer and infrastructure teams to make sure those controls don't get in the way of their work. Your work will let us base access decisions on whether a device can be trusted. We value people who double check a compliance report before they believe it. The team is deliberately lean and runs with high autonomy. You'll help define the endpoint roadmap, make architecture decisions, and own the platform every Anthropic employee's work runs on. You'll also help us meet the security standards our Responsible Scaling Policy requires as models advance. Responsibilities Own endpoint configuration as code: author, review, test, and progressively roll out MDM policies, configuration profiles, and remediation scripts across macOS and mobile, with canary stages and rollback built in Operate the MDM platform itself as a production service, including infrastructure as code, observability, upgrades, and incident response Build patch management automation with rapid enforcement timelines while maintaining good user experience Design zero touch provisioning that turns a sealed box into a productive machine on day one Support a small number of Linux machines alongside the Mac fleet Turn fleet telemetry into policy, dashboards, and early drift warnings, and use Claude to automate manual ops work Partner with Corporate Security on endpoint hardening, binary authorization, and compliance controls Take shifts on the team's rotation for incoming requests and escalations, and serve as the deep escalation tier for endpoint issues IT Operations can't resolve You may be a good fit if you Have 8+ years building secure IT systems in complex environments, including leading projects across multiple teams Have managed endpoint fleets of thousands of macOS devices through a modern MDM Treat endpoint configuration as code that is version controlled and peer reviewed, rather than clicking in consoles Go deep on macOS internals such as launchd, configuration profiles, TCC, and system extensions Write Python and shell scripts Write design docs and runbooks so teammates can review and support what you build Strong candidates may also have Have operated an MDM or device management platform as a service, not only consumed one as SaaS Have worked with open source endpoint and device management tooling (Munki, osquery, AutoPkg) Have built automated, progressive rollout systems with promotion gated on telemetry Have experience running infrastructure as code in a public cloud Have working knowledge of Linux administration (packaging, systems, config management) Have used LLMs to automate ops work Deadline to apply: None. About the role The Endpoint team (Client Platform Engineering) manages the laptops and handsets every Anthropic employee works on, plus the infrastructure underneath them. We treat the fleet as a distributed platform, not a collection of devices, and every piece of configuration ships as code through pull requests, CI, staging, and a canary group. Applications will be received on a rolling basis. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $285,000 — $325,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
