We are currently recruiting a Transmission Line Design Engineer in Australia

Job function : Transmission & Distribution

Work Location : Melbourne, Australia

Education : B. Tech / M. Tech Civil/Structural Engineer

The incumbent should be an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer with strong expertise in the detail engineering and design of transmission line towers, particularly in the High Voltage and Medium Voltage segments. The ideal candidate should be proficient in all aspects of design engineering, structural analysis, and relevant codes and standards.

• Proven experience in High Voltage and Medium Voltage transmission line structure design, specifically within Australia.
• Knowledge of PLS Tower and PLS CADD simulations software.
• Familiarity with Australian standards (AS/NZS) and regulatory requirements.

• Certifications for Engineers in Australia:
  • National Engineer Register
  • Chartered Engineer
  • Membership of Engineers Australia
  • Professional Engineer's certificate for Victoria and Queensland.

• Detail Engineering of Transmission Line (Tower Profile, Tower Schedule, Analysis & Design of Structure and Foundation) with sound knowledge of PLSCAD & PLS Tower software.
• Work in PLS Tower / PLS CADD independently for design of single circuit, double circuit, multi circuit lattice type transmission line towers, river crossing towers in High and Medium Voltage.
• Design standard towers as well as innovative towers using PLS Tower.
• Review the designs of all types of transmission towers including structural drawings and tower foundations and suggest modifications to ensure compliance during testing.
• Lead the team for design of transmission line towers and foundations and represent the Company before the Client for all technical discussions related to Transmission tower design.
• Provide training in transmission line design.
• Design tower foundations, including pile type foundations.
• Prepare Tower Schedule and Route profile in PLS CADD; knowledge of PLS -Pole is an added advantage.

• Good written & verbal communication skills

• Good leadership skills to lead a group of engineers
• Self disciplined and capable of working on multiple projects as a team member/Project Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Civil / Structural / Energy Studies - Preferable.
