Description

We are seeking to establish a pool of Technical Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full time and part time vacancies that may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The Technical Support Officer will maintain the school's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and network, ensuring reliability and sustainability to enhance the learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on technical issues and collaborate with administration to maintain and develop the network system.
  • Provide technical support and training to all users throughout the school site on various software applications and provide access to systems and resources.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain information systems and ICT equipment in accordance with the school business needs and Department of Education policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT assets and resources and develop, implement, and monitor a replacement plan.
  • Work as part of a versatile team, liaise with other Department of Education personnel and communicate with external providers.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working in a school setting (highly desirable).
  • Thorough understanding of standard operating systems and associated software.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and analytical skills.
  • Organisational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
