The Role

Beenyup Primary is an Independent Public School in Byford, WA, providing a full primary education from Kindergarten to Year Six. We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher to lead and grow our music program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess a whole school approach to the primary school Music curriculum.
  • Develop and sustain a vibrant performing arts community, including choir and instrumental ensembles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to embed music across all disciplines.
  • Reflect on practice and use data to enhance teaching and student learning outcomes.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported to achieve their highest potential.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant teacher qualification and registration.
  • Professional knowledge of contemporary Music practices for primary school.
  • Experience in developing and leading classroom and performance activities.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with students, teachers, and the community.
Eligibility
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before commencing work.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
