Supply Chain Engineer - UAE National only

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Job Objective: As part of Thales Emarat Technologies (TET), the role involves setting up new state of the art production facilities in the UAE to produce legacy and new products locally. The Supply Chain Engineer is a multi skill contributor overseeing production scheduling, logistics, and handling operations.

Industrial Scheduler
  • Develop detailed schedules for production lines, equipment, and personnel based on order demand, resources, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, procurement, and logistics teams to align resources and material flows.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules for delays, equipment failures, or urgent orders.
  • Analyse data and historical performance to recommend process improvements for scheduling efficiency and on time delivery.
  • Work closely with master planners to ensure alignment with schedule changes or challenges.
  • Prepare and distribute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules and reports.
  • Use ERP to update and maintain accurate scheduling records.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all scheduling activities.
Logistics & Stocks Officer
  • Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products for quality and traceability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Supply components and materials to production lines in alignment with manufacturing orders and schedules.
  • Organize and deliver materials in kits, ensuring availability for production.
  • Manage finished goods and spare parts storage with proper documentation.
  • Ensure proper stacking, labelling, and storage according to warehouse procedures.
  • Verify delivery notes against purchase orders and assemble necessary shipping documents.
  • Handle import/export of goods per Incoterms and implement best practices for logistics processes.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all logistics operations.
Handling Operations Officer
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods between warehouse, integration halls, and test areas.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas safely and efficiently.
  • Handle unloading of goods and ensure proper orientation of components and materials.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report operational issues.
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Maintained an active role in achieving objectives and adhering to the HSE Policy.
Work Experience Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in scheduling and logistics/storage management. Demonstrated experience with forklifts/head cranes handling and required certifications.

Qualification, Certification And Educational Requirements

Master or engineering degree in industry/supply chain.

Certifications in forklift/head cranes handling.

Preferred Skills
  • Proven experience in production scheduling or a similar industrial role.
  • Proven experience in stocks/industrial shops management.
  • Proven experience in import/export management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience handling operations using forklifts and head cranes with tracking and certifications.
HSE Responsibilities
  • Take care of own safety and the safety of others.
  • Awareness of and active role in Thales HSE policy & objectives.
  • Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
  • Use safety equipment (PPE) as required and intended.
  • Lead by example and encourage conservation of water & energy, minimisation of waste, and recycling.
  • Report any conditions that may affect health and safety to line manager and HSE department immediately.
