Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Council's facilities through effective project coordination, inspections, and contractor management. The Small Projects & Inspections Officer will support the delivery of reactive and proactive maintenance programs, contribute to small capital works from concept to completion, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with Council's standards. The successful applicant will bring strong technical knowledge in facility management or building services, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a keen eye for detail.
What you will bring- Certificate IV qualification in building, project management or construction related discipline, or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in relevant field such as facility management, building trades, project delivery or technical services / operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Build strong relationships with staff, contractors and key stakeholders to support delivery of services.
- Work independently, manage time effectively, oversee contractors, follow safety and compliance requirements while taking initiative to get things done.
- A current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.
- A current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
- A current Drivers Licence.
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $79,676 to $91,151 per annum including industry allowance plus statutory superannuation.
