About Us

At EnergyAustralia our shared purpose is to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all. We seek to do this by making energy simple for our customers, meeting their needs by combining their assets into our flexible energy portfolio.

About the team

The newly formed Customer Change Team is building a holistic Change Practice that will deliver on the safe and sustainable delivery of change across the Customer Business. Working within the Customer Transformation Program, transforming the way the Customer Business Operates and driving a competitive value proposition for our customers in the long term. For our people, this means meaningful work, aligning with EnergyAustralia's strategy and supporting the business to become more competitive. This is where you come in!

About the Role

Forming part of our rapidly evolving Customer BU, the purpose of this Change Manager role is to lead and support change across a portfolio of current and emerging risk and compliance initiatives, driving adoption, uplifting capability, and embedding a strong culture of accountability and regulatory awareness across the Customer business.

This role blends deep expertise in compliance-related change with the ability to contribute to broader transformation efforts. As part of a wider organisational transformation, this Change Manager role will not only support immediate change initiatives but also play a strategic role in shaping and transitioning to the future state of risk and compliance operations. Other aspects of the role include:

  • Collaboration with project, risk, legal, and business teams to ensure change delivery aligns with both compliance obligations and broader transformation objectives.
  • Conducting change impact assessments and readiness reviews across people, process, and systems.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, develop tailored communications, and ensure a strong feedback loop with impacted business units.
  • Partner with training leads and SMEs to ensure compliance-related training is relevant, targeted, and effective.
  • Monitor and report on change adoption and risk mitigation metrics, escalating issues and opportunities to improve uptake.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring extensive experience in change management (at a program/portfolio level) and will have led change within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. A combination of risk and/or regulatory compliance subject matter expertise is a must, whilst energy sector experience is highly desirable, but not essential. Other attributes and experiences we'd love to see include:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regulatory language and translate it into business-focused change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with legal, compliance, and senior business leaders.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate complex regulatory change into clear, actionable business impacts.
  • A natural collaborator, with proven ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, particularly in how risk and compliance changes are delivered and embedded.
  • The ability to embrace and thrive in what is a dynamic and continuously evolving organisation and sector.

Please note, this is an 18-month fixed-term contract opportunity.
