Job Overview

The Service Advisor acts as the main liaison between customers and the service department. This role ensures that all motorcycles are received, diagnosed, serviced, and delivered efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction and adherence to Lifan's quality standards. The Service Advisor is responsible for understanding motorcycle systems, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring clear communication with customers throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities Customer Interaction & Communication
  • Welcome customers warmly and assess their motorcycle service or maintenance needs.
  • Communicate technical information and repair requirements in clear, simple terms.
  • Provide accurate information about service options, costs, and timelines.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and referrals.
  • Review customer concerns and, when necessary, conduct a preliminary visual check of the motorcycle.
  • Prepare service estimates, including parts and labor, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance and manufacturer-specified services based on vehicle history and usage.
  • Ensure the correct motorcycle parts, accessories, and tools are ordered for each job.
Work Order & Scheduling Management
  • Create and manage detailed service orders that reflect the customer's requirements and approved work.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and manage the daily service workload to optimize technician productivity.
  • Keep customers informed about service progress, additional work approvals, and delivery timelines.
Coordination with Technicians & Parts Department
  • Communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians and verify that repairs are properly diagnosed and completed.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of motorcycle parts and consumables.
  • Conduct post-service checks with technicians before vehicle handover.
  • Review completed work with customers and provide a detailed explanation of charges.
  • Prepare and process accurate invoices in accordance with dealership procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive service records, job cards, and customer data in the dealership management system (DMS).
Who Fits the Legend's Seat
  • Basic understanding of motorcycle systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Familiarity with Lifan motorcycles, manufacturer service guidelines, and warranty policies.
  • Ability to interpret service manuals and diagnostic reports.
  • Capability to promote relevant products and services tactfully.
  • Understanding of service department sales processes and performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple service requests simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on all customer and job-related matters.
  • High school diploma required; Diploma or Degree in Automotive Technology or Business preferred.
  • 1-3 years in a motorcycle service or automotive service advisory role.
  • Prior experience in a dealership setup or with motorcycle brands is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of renowned motorcycle or similar brands is an advantage.
