Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Wet Utilities

Azizi Developments, a premier Dubai based developer, seeks an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Wet Utilities to lead and manage wet infrastructure networks for large scale master developments. The role reports to the Head of Infrastructure Delivery and focuses on design, authority coordination, and project delivery within Dubai.

• Lead the design, coordination, and review of wet utilities networks, including potable water, irrigation, stormwater drainage, and sewer networks (gravity and pressurized).
• Manage and supervise consultants and internal design teams to ensure timely and technically sound design delivery.
• Review and approve design reports, hydraulic calculations, layouts, and construction drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with the latest Dubai Municipality Infrastructure Design Guidelines, DEWA water standards, and RTA requirements.
• Coordinate wet utilities designs with roads, dry utilities, landscape, and other infrastructure disciplines.
• Serve as the main point of contact with relevant authorities (DM, DEWA, RTA, DDA) for all wet utilities matters.
• Manage and track authority submission and approval processes across all project stages.
• Respond to authority comments and facilitate timely resolutions to ensure smooth project progress.
• Prepare and monitor design delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
• Support the preparation and review of BOQs, technical specifications, and IFC packages.
• Provide technical support and clarification during tendering and construction phases.
• Participate in design coordination and progress meetings with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor a team of wet utilities design engineers and coordinators.
• Support project management in risk identification, mitigation planning, and decision making processes.

• Deep understanding of local authority regulatory framework for infrastructure approvals (RTA, DEWA, DM, etc.).
• Excellent command of hydraulic modelling tools (Water GEMS, Sewer GEMS, InfoWorks).
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and infrastructure design software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi disciplinary teams.
• Results oriented with excellent problem solving and decision making abilities.

• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer accreditation.
• Prior experience with developer led masterplans or consultancy firms handling authority liaison.
• Familiarity with GIS based utilities data management systems.
• Well experienced in management and design of wet utilities and ancillary pump stations for large developments.

MSc Degree or bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering; Project Management certificate is an advantage.

Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and electrical design tools.
