The Project:

HMAS Harman is a critical Naval Base, providing key capability for the ADF's communications, command, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance activities.

Defence is staying operationally ready by investing $116m at HMAS Harman. Upgrades include a new base entry, high voltage power infrastructure, a new gymnasium and a new command facility.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Contract Administrator you'll benefit from the support of an experienced and motivated Commercial leadership team whilst you provide end to end contract management based on a project, including but not limited to;

  • Establish appropriate management plans in line with head contract risk and opportunities
  • Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules across multiple trades across the project lifecycle.
  • Progress claims and variations
  • Demonstrate understanding of construction practices, sequencing of methodology and value of building related goals (materials and services).
  • Cost and project reporting via CHEOPS and Aconex - training provided.
Requirements:
  • Senior and mid-level construction/building contract/commercial management skill set with experience managing head and subcontracts
  • Aspiring contract administration level; demonstrated experience in leading subcontractor/trade administration on medium to large built form projects
  • Familiarity with Contract Law principals & construction specific Acts, codes and Regulations
  • Self-motivated and ability to drive autonomous outcomes and decisions.
  • Process and system appreciative
