Playing an integral role in the EngagedCommunities team, the temporary full-time position for a Senior Communicationsand Engagement Advisor will provide expert advice to one of 4 directoratesacross Council. About the roleThe Senior Communications and Engagement Advisor leads strategic communications across Manningham, partnering with business units to deliver clear, impactful advice. They develop and implement communication and engagement plans that promote Council services, programs and initiatives, ensuring we meet our goals, uphold our brand and connect meaningfully with our community and stakeholders.
Skills and experience- Tertiary qualified in communications or other relevant field.
- An innovator with a track record of developing and delivering effective communications that encourage engagement with the community.
- A strategic thinker with an understanding of the diverse needs of the community, the local government environment and ability to plan for delivery of high-quality outcomes.
- A problem solver, able to resolve issues to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborator with demonstrated success in partnering with keystakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Flexible to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
