Overview

Responsible for the overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost). This role involves maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyors with automation such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFDs and field sensors, and Material Handling Systems (MHEs) including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, X-ray machines, scales, systems, and control cabinets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance routines on equipment and provide training to RME Coordinators and Technicians on device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
  • Coordinate follow-up material purchasing with the Procurement Team.
  • Develop and implement spare parts identification and stock level maintenance.
  • Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.
  • Manage day-to-day equipment issues with Operations, defining priorities and organizing work with the team.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service providers; set goals, priorities, staff planning, and training to ensure service levels.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by applying Amazon Safety Policy and collaborating with the Safety team to improve on-site safety.
  • Ensure 5S standards for site housekeeping.
  • Lead within the group and with other teams; provide immediate technical guidance to operations during critical events.
Key Activities (A Day in the Life)
  • Responsible for overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost).
  • Oversee equipment maintenance for trolleys, conveyors, work stations, labeling machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, etc., leading a team of 3rd party technicians.
  • Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance routines; develop and implement vendor AMCs; follow up material purchasing; maintain spare parts stock levels; provide feedback on equipment performance and availability.
  • Manage day-to-day equipment issues with Operations; define priorities and organize work with the team; ensure safety compliance; maintain 5S standards.
  • Support Engineering for installation of new equipment; act as a leader and provide creative solutions; provide immediate technical guidance during critical events.

Basic Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Controls Engineering or Diploma holder (Engineer preferred) with equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in a similar role in fast-paced industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environments.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical, team leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Electrical and mechanical background; experience with installation, commissioning and operations of electrical distribution systems (HT & LT), HVAC, Fire Alarm and Suppression systems, general building MEP, material handling and conveying equipment.
  • Experience with subcontractor management to ensure quality; troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals; prior supervisory experience; computer skills (MS Office, CMMS, AutoCAD preferred).
Preferred Qualifications

BE or Diploma (Electrical/Electronics) with more than 8 years in warehousing/manufacturing, maintenance of conveyors, utilities and buildings; hands-on knowledge of automation and controls.
