Pulmonology - Critical Care Physician Assistant

1 January - 30 November 2025 7:00pm - 7:00am Average Admissions: 1-3 Daily patient load: 8-10 Strong communication skills, compassion & interpersonal skills Central Lines Arterial Lines Critical Care experience 2 years Typical Expectations: Manage ICU patients with acute or chronic respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, and other critical conditions. Perform procedures such as:

• Endotracheal intubation
• Arterial line placement
• Central venous catheter placement
• Thoracentesis and paracentesis

Interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., ABGs, chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests). Outpatient Pulmonary Care:

• Evaluate and manage chronic conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep apnea.
• Educate patients on disease management, smoking cessation, and oxygen therapy.

Emergency Response: Participate in rapid response and code blue teams.
