About the roleThe Technology Branch within the Knowledge and Information Technology Directorate (KIT) plays a key role in managing the Department's information assets. The branch is responsible for setting business rules and governance frameworks to ensure that technological solutions are complementary, and provide information that is reliable, adequately described, secured and readily available to inform decisions.
The Project Officer and Senior Project Officer roles are responsible for supporting and managing key projects within KIT to implement business and technology solutions, utilising project management methodologies and governance frameworks, to ensure successful delivery within agreed scope, time and budget. This is an exciting time to be joining the Department of Justice with a number of high profile projects in flight and future transformational projects planned across KIT.
Permanent positionsTo be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Open Pool RecruitmentThis is an open-ended pool recruitment process which means there is no closing date for applications. We assess applications on a quarterly basis and suitable applicants may be selected to the pool as vacancies arise. If selected to the pool, the selection is valid for 12 months from the day after the standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however an appointment is not guaranteed. The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies for the duration of the pool.
