Job Description

As the Payroll Compliance & Data Specialist, you'll be the go to expert for payroll governance and data accuracy across ANZ. You'll work closely with Payroll, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements, and internal policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing subject matter expertise on payroll legislation, EA processes, and compliance issues.
  • Leading payroll audits, investigations, and remediations.
  • Supporting EA re negotiations and salary updates from a payroll perspective.
  • Driving continuous improvement in payroll processes, governance, and data accuracy.
  • Managing EOFY processes including FBT reporting.
  • Creating user guides, training materials, and running education sessions for internal teams.
  • Extracting and analysing payroll data to support audits, reporting, and decision making.
The Successful Applicant
  • Strong Excel skills - including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and IF Statements.
  • Experience working with payroll data - reconciling large datasets and deriving insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills - able to partner across HR, Payroll, and leadership teams.
  • A deep understanding of payroll legislation and enterprise agreements.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives.
