Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum of 6 months part time or experience within the last year as a patient sitter in a hospital setting, monitoring patients 1:1 to ensure safety.
• Must show competency recognizing and reporting changes in patients' level of consciousness, behavior, or bodily functions.
• Experience with verbal patient de-escalation techniques, verbal redirection of patient activity, and verbal reorientation to patient environment is required.
• De-escalation training is a plus!
