We are seeking anexceptional Medical Director of Infection Controlto spearhead our infection prevention strategy across a dynamic,high-acuity healthcare environment.

This is not just arole-it's a mission-critical appointment at theintersection of clinical governance, epidemiology, and executiveleadership. You will shape policy, drive innovation, and leadmultidisciplinary teams to ensure our institution remains anational benchmark for infection control excellence.

We are seeking anexperienced and strategic leader to join our team. The successfulapplicant shall provide strategic leadership, expertise, andeducation in all aspects of Infection Prevention & Managementwithin FSFHG and SMHS. Initiates, designs, implements, and monitorsstrategies to reduce the incidence of hospital-acquitted infectionsin our patients. Plays a leading role in preparing for and managingoutbreaks. Works with other staff to ensure our hospitals meet therequirements of the National Safety and Quality Health ServicesStandards.

As part of aninterdisciplinary team, leads the provision of specialist medicalservices to patients. Actively addresses clinical risks anddelays in patient care for individual patients. Educates andsupervises junior medical staff and other healthworkers.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health servicesincluding the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancercentre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric andneonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH alsodelivers specialised services such as heart and lungtransplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
