Position Summary

The Account Executive acts as a strategic collaborator across internal teams, leveraging market intelligence and client insights to support business decisions and enhance service delivery. By staying informed on industry trends and client needs, the individual contributes to the development of tailored strategies that strengthen client relationships and drive growth.

Key responsibilities include supporting new business and renewal submissions, reviewing policy documents and invoices for accuracy, and assisting with various client service activities. The role demands strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What will your job entail?

Job Responsibilities
  • Account Preparation & Renewal Support: Prepares accounts for new business and renewal processes as directed by the broker. Initiates renewal reviews to optimize client coverage and recommends strategies to support client retention.
  • Market Submissions & Documentation Review: Assists brokers in developing market submissions and quote cover letters for agents. Reviews incoming documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Broker Relationship Management: Builds strong relationships with brokers and demonstrates a solid understanding of brokerage operations to proactively support evolving business needs.
  • Business Development Collaboration: Partners with brokers to drive renewals and generate new business opportunities through client referrals and strategic outreach.
  • Proposal & Presentation Development: Contributes to the creation of new business strategies, including proposals and presentations tailored to prospective client opportunities.
  • Risk Evaluation & Compliance: Assesses risks associated with accounts and ensures compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Data Integrity & System Accuracy: Maintains accurate data across internal systems, ensures proper documentation, and performs tasks in alignment with established guidelines and service standards.
  • Reporting & Portfolio Insights: Generates performance reports and key metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to inform brokers of portfolio trends and identify opportunities to enhance the book of business.
  • Internal Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Works closely with internal teams to fulfill contractual obligations. Resolves invoicing discrepancies with Premium Accounting and communicates effectively regarding notices of cancellation.
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a client-facing or operational support role.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferred fields include Business Administration, Sales, Risk Management, or other related disciplines. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Prescribed: Must meet minimum requirements for state Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or surplus lines licenses.
  • Preferred: Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Commercial Insurance License (CIL).

The target salary range for this position is $78,750.00 - $90,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
