We are seeking a Grant Monitoring Support Specialist to join our team with experience in Federal grant reviews, creating review content, and ensuring proper protocols and quality control measures. This role is ideal for a self-starter who excels at data analysis and has a strong focus on quality and process improvement. This position is contingent upon the successful award of the contract and requires travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content for monitoring reviews, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and align with client or data needs.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance review protocols and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with best practices.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to evaluate program performance, identify trends, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data.
  • Lead or assist with the creation of quality control efforts for monitoring reviews and reporting, ensuring a high standard of quality control in the field.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing monitoring processes and tools and recommend solutions for more efficient and effective workflows.
  • Work closely with partners responsible for nationwide monitoring reviews to ensure seamless and integrated monitoring.




  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as public administration, early childhood education, or social services.
  • Three or more years of experience in creating or identifying content for monitoring reviews for federal grant programs in Head Start or similar early childhood programs.
  • Experience with process creation and protocol development.
  • Must have experience with monitoring tools such as Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), Focus Area One (FA1), Focus Area Two (FA2), and Risk Assessment Notification (RAN), and knowledge of federal performance standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and professional support.
  • Excellent time-management and critical thinking skills to analyze data and form a judgment based on technical knowledge of grant programs.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a remote or virtual team environment.
  • Travel required.
