Overview

Division: Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region

Salary: Level 3, $137,428 - $150,385 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)

Appointment: This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

About the school

Warnbro Community High School (CHS) is located 50 km south of Perth in the beach-side communities of Warnbro and Port Kennedy. WARNBRO CHS focuses on improving student outcomes by meeting students at their point of need and supporting holistic growth and development.

The Role

As a key member of the leadership team, you should work closely with the Principal to articulate a clear vision for the Technologies team in line with established whole-school approaches. You ideally will support teachers to strengthen their pedagogical breadth so they can deliver dynamic and engaging learning at the guided, supported, and independent practice stages. By modelling consistent behaviours and reinforcing the preconditions for learning, you would ensure that staff are equipped to plan and teach content in a way that reflects whole-school priorities and improves outcomes for all students.

You should develop others by mentoring your team with clear feedback and consistent follow-through. In balancing support with accountability, you ideally will keep the focus on improving student engagement. You would also work closely with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator to create strong links with Industry pathways as a part of this focus on student outcomes.

Experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) courses, or equivalent, and programming School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) aligned curriculum across contexts is highly desirable, along with strong data literacy to analyse assessment information and guide improvements in teaching and learning.

Professional Benefits

Working for the Department of Education you will enjoy a range of benefits including competitive salaries, flexible working arrangements, training and career development opportunities and attractive leave provisions. Find out more about the benefits by visiting professional and personalbenefits.
