InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef offers a rare opportunity to lead one of the world's most iconic private island resorts, set among the Whitsundays. The resort comprises 182 guest rooms, suites, and villas across four wings, plus Hayman Residences. This is a remote, high-end operation requiring strong leadership and a passion for exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities- Leading all aspects of operational activities of the hotel
- Oversee the smooth management of the employee accommodation/village
- Continuously drive creative ideas to enhance local and international business to the Resort
- Recruiting, leading, managing and motivating a strong team, upskilling, measuring and managing performance
- Prioritising relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities
- Creating unique guest and employee engagement programmes
- A proven track record of success as a General Manager in a remote, luxury resort setting
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on top-line revenue growth and profitability
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with owners and key stakeholders
- Familiarity with Australian labour laws and compliance requirements
- The right to live and work in Australia - essential for the role
