Gastroenterology Physician

Candidate Requirements

• Active IN State License or IMLC.
• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Minimum Years Experience (if applicable): More than 2 years
• Flu vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
• Covid vaccination: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption.
• Certifications: ACLS-AHA issued, BLS-AHA issued.
• GI Physician will be responsible for placing orders that they will be recommending.
• Order entry is expected to be completed by locum provider.
• Average Surgeries per Day: 20 including outpatient scoping
• The 20 surgeries per day is an approximate. None of them are OP Scopes. It is all inpatient.
• How many inpatient scopes are scheduled on an average per day - max 5. None are Outpatient
• For inpatient cases a provider has anesthesia support? Any inpatient request for anesthesia will fall into when an anesthesiologist is available, just like any add on surgery case.

• Sunday December 21(7pm) Tuesday December 23(7pm) Provider will be on 24 hr call
• Orientation on Friday Dec 19 (7.30 to 5pm)
• will have almost every weekend open in 2026.
• In 2026 we will open up the dates in a few weeks. The shifts will be Monday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM. We have 10 weeks available in 2026
  
  

• We are hoping to find a provider who can cover ALL the 3 weeks in 2026

  • Monday March 30 7AM Monday April 6 7AM
  • Monday May 4 7AM Monday May 11 7AM
  • Monday June 22 7AM Monday June 29 7AM

  Mon- Fri -The provider will be paid 8 hrs Regular and then Night Call (with 0 gratis).

  Sat-Sun- The provider will be on a 24 hr call

  • Provider also needs to attend in person Orientation (7.30 am to 5pm) preferably Friday before the Monday Start (or within 2 weeks before the start date)
