  • Supervise compliance activities: Actively leading the compliance team to ensure all fleet operations comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Monitor and report: Develop and maintain reports on fleet compliance status, identifying any areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate audits: Orchestrate regular internal audits to assess compliance and address any discrepancies efficiently.
  • Training and Support: Conduct training sessions to inform and update staff on compliance standards and drive continuous awareness.

Driver Onboarding
  • Driver Onboarding
  • Responsible for pre-employment requirements of all contingent new hires with the partnership of Fleet HR. Pre-employment processes include:
  • DOT Medical Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Report Compliance
  • Medical Examiner Register Authorization
  • Background Check Screening
  • DOT Drug Screening Clearing House Authorization
  • Prior Work Authorization Release
  • DOT Long Form Driver Application
  • Independently responsible for candidate report review and eligibility determination based on applicants Motor Vehicle History
  • Compiles and maintains final Driver Qualification Files for all hires in partnership with third party compliance management services
  • Recommends process improvement to streamline the management of DOT rules and regulations
  • Manages travel and per-diem processing for new hire orientation
Driver Compliance Records Maintenance
  • Manages the DOT Random Drug and Alcohol Screening process to ensure Dollar General Fleet meets all screening requirements
  • Monitors driver qualification requirements and initiates recertification of the following requirements: Annual Motor Vehicle Reporting, Medical Certification Card Renewal, CDL License Renewal, Clearing House Annual Reporting
  • Manages and conducts the semi-annual DOT Mock Audit
Policy Compliance
  • Maintains driver company personnel documents including disciplinary actions, accident/incident reports, policy violation reports, and training documents in adherence to the companies Records and Retention Policy
  • Partners with Safety Supervisor to conduct post accident/incident drug and alcohol screening, determines fault and provides recommendation on disciplinary action
  • Manages internal driver transfer and allocation process
  • Partners with Sr. leadership to review compliance related violations, advises Sr. Leadership on appropriate disciplinary action
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of DOT Laws and Regulations
  • Base knowledge of employment law and pre-employment screening requirements
  • Ability to perform as both leader and supporter on project teams, being a team player and strong customer service focus
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and Access databases including ability to design templates, queries, tables, forms, and reports.
  • General knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects while working independently
  • Strong business knowledge of fleet operations
Work Experience /or Education

Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics preferred with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
