Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a primary care setting
Obtain health histories and conduct physical examinations for patients of all ages
Formulate diagnoses, create care plans, and communicate effectively with patients
Prescribe and refill medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with federal and state regulations
Document patient encounters accurately in the NextGen electronic health record or other required systems
Collaborate with specialists, allied health professionals, and case management to ensure continuity of care
Review diagnostic reports (labs, imaging, EKGs) and follow up appropriately
Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as needed
Participate in medical group initiatives such as peer review, quality assurance, outreach, and education
Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical school
Board Certified (current) or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Active and unrestricted California medical license
Current Federal DEA registration
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care
