Executive Officer

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Executive Officer to join our collaborative client in the higher education sector. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen eye for detail who excels in their field and is committed to making a positive impact on students. This vital role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders and a willingness to embrace new challenges.

The Executive Officer is chiefly responsible for managing the Office itself, including leading a small team of two, and overseeing the end-to-end management of complex, sensitive, and high-risk student matters referred from senior university offices. Key accountabilities include conducting National Student Ombudsman (NSO) complaint investigations, negotiating remediation plans, drafting high-calibre responses to statutory and ombudsman information requests, and building strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to meet operational and governance objectives.

A working with children check (employee) is required for this position.

You must demonstrate Executive-Level Mastery in case resolution, moving beyond competence to handle the most sensitive and escalated student matters with authority and successful closure.

Crucially, you will need Expert Regulatory Acumen, consistently delivering accurate and defensible responses to statutory and ombudsman information requests, backed by flawless policy application.

Success also hinges on your ability to serve as a Strategic Advisor to senior leadership and act as a High-Impact Leader who drives continuous improvement and a culture of service excellence within your team.
